Kids Learn to Sail MIXED LVL 2 & 3
Ages 7–12 | Skill Progression Course
Level 2 builds on the confidence and skills developed in Level 1, helping young sailors become more independent and capable on the water — while keeping sessions fun and engaging.
Kids Fleet is the final stage of the Kids Learn to Sail program and focuses on developing confident, capable sailors until they are ready for open-water progression and future racing pathways.
Please Note this is not a completion of 2 & 3 Combined

Sundays | 9am-12pm
July - 19th, 26th
August - 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
(7 sessions)

Program Overview
Level 2 focuses on developing stronger boat-handling skills and greater independence.
Sailors will continue learning through games, challenges, and structured on-water activities while building confidence in a supportive environment.
Who Is This Course For?
This course is designed for children who have completed Level 1 or Level 2 and are ready to progress their sailing skills.
Course Prerequisites
• Aged 7–12 years
• Water confident
• Completion of Kids Learn to Sail Level 1 or Level 2
By the End of the Course, Sailors Will Be Able To:
• Get out of irons independently
• Safely gybe the boat
• Correctly use a tiller extension
• Sail around a triangle course, including:
• Upwind sailing on a close-hauled course (tacking through the no-go zone)
• Downwind sailing with centreboard raised
• Reaching with correct sail trim
• Demonstrate controlled 360° and 720° turns
What to Bring
• Hat
• Sunglasses
• Water bottle
• Swimmers
• Enclosed shoes that can get wet (and won’t fall off)
• Towel
• Change of clothes
• Rain jacket (if wet weather is forecast)
Safety Equipment
We strongly recommend the use of helmets (not mandatory but highly encouraged).
