No Experience, No Membership needed!
Out There Sailing is for teens looking for a program to learn/progress in sailing, having fun and making new friends!
This program is designed for teens aged 12-17 who have limited or no sailing experience but would like to learn,
OR who just want to sail for FUN!
The program includes: Learning to sail a Hobie Wave Catamaran and RS Quest Dinghy

Outcomes:
Over the course of the program, youth will build the skills and confidence needed to crew an RS Quest Dinghy and sail with that crew without support.
This is a tiered program. Kids of like skills and age are paired together to get the most growth relevant to their needs.
As they grow in their skills they will move on to racing and other more challenging sailing objectives (rescues, man over board, single person sailing) with their crew.

Overview

OutThere Sailing 1 is a great introduction to the sport of sailing and the skills required but will still focus on fun with friends. The program provides a wide variety of on water activities that will introduce sailing and, depending on your club, an opportunity to experience stand up paddle boarding, windsurfing and power boating. You will learn skills through exciting exercises and put them to good use in fun, on-water activities.

Prerequisites

Water confident.

Who should do this program?

This program is designed for participants who are 12-17 years-old looking to try a new activity, have some fun and engage with others whilst sailing.
